[NCLUG] is e2fsck -P non-destructive?

The implication in the fsck man page is that e2fsck -P is a
non-destructive alternative to fsck -a. Is this a safe
assumption? I need to fix the FS on a 180GB drive or
valuable data.

Thanks - Erich
