[NCLUG] Visioneer 6600 scanner driver

I am seriously considering switching from WindowsXP Home Edition to Linux.  However, all of my efforts so far to determine if I can use my Visioneer One Touch 6600 (USB) scanner with Linux have not been successful.  I have searched the Internet via Google with no luck.  I have looked at Mandrake, and Red Hat and SANE, and apparently none of them have a driver for my scanner.  Will I not be able to use my Visioneer 6600 scanner if I switch to Linux?
