modprobe sbp2 (or modprobe ohci1394) only works if you have a 1394
(FireWire) interface and a regular iPod. The iPod mini will work with USB
2.0.

modprobe usb-storage
For ipods, you also have to
modprobe sbp2
dmesg will say where it is located (e.g. /dev/sda, /dev/sdb...).
