[NCLUG] LPI Cert-Fest anyone?

Folks:

LPI-US asked me to make some local (to Colorado that is) inquiries about
having a LPI Cert-Fest in the near future.

What is a Cert-Fest you ask? Well, LPI has presently two certification
levels, LPIC-1 and LPIC-2, two exams per level. People can take the
individual exams (LPI-101, -102, -201, and/or -202) during this
Cert-Fest at a discounted price ($50 to $75 per exam) vs. $100 through
Prometrics or Vue. The results would be then emailed back 2-4 weeks
later (if not sooner).

Details of the LPI certifications can be found at http://www.lpi.org
which also include each exam's objectives and sample questions.

I am thinking of trying to have the date be the same as one of the
upcoming CLUE InstallFests in either May or August and three time slots
open (10AM, 12noon, and 2PM) during that time.

This is in the idea stages of course, so comments and feedback are
welcomed. This is NOT a thread to put RedHat vs. LPI certifications out
there for reference, so please do not do so.

For those who have attended the LinuxWorld Expos, this is similar to
what LPI offers during those times.

TIA.
