[NCLUG] Mailing list or forum?

If you use an auto-archiving mailing list like mailman, it offers most
of the features of a bulletin board package. The only things I can
think of off the top of my head that it won't do are categorization -
but that could be approximated with multiple lists - and avoid certain
email drawbacks like spam filtration and delivery delay issues.

I do know that phpBB has a considerably more checkered security
reputation than mailman, for what that's worth.

Good luck with the decision.
