I assume 192.168.1.1 is your wireless router? Silly question, but it
does have a DNS server enabled, right?
Otherwise, I'd try this in a window whilst trying to resolve a hostname
in another:
tcpdump -i wlan0 not port 22 # or whatever port runs SSH
