As an experienced user and developer I actually found it a little
frustrating to read the trouble that the author went through with some
parts that were clearly simple misunderstandings.  I wanted to reach
in there and fix it for him.  At other times I was amazed that he
found that the simple things that worked were noteworthy.  I have been
taking those things for granted.

Overall I found the article a very interesting read.
