Is there any way to emulate the .asp .net environment on Linux machines?

Is this something that works ok through VMware or any similar emulation shell?

Specifically, this is triggered by running into an application called DotNetNuke.  If anyone is working with this and would like to pass along some tips on proper setup, please contact me privately.  This is for a new nonprofit organization.
