I'm sure Bob is right about the cache issues, but the first thing I thought
is: Do you have all your clocks synchronized?
If you can make it happen via NFS, perhaps try using Samba or GlusterFS or
GFS/OCFS for this application and see if it resolves the troubles you are
having? Of course, they may bring up new and exciting problems.
