Hmm. I'm not aware of any particular issues that make 185 worse than any
other driver series overall, and I would be, given I write part of them.

The installation using the NVIDIA installer is pretty easy. You should
give it a go. In addition to 190.*, there's also a 195.* beta recently
too. I'd say give the latest version available a try.
