The NCLUG channel seemed to have lots of interest, so I thought I'd
forward this email from the Ubuntu Cyclists mailing list. We've all
been talking about an Ubuntu jersey for a while now, and someone is
finally pulling the trigger. I think the more orders, the better, and
maybe Canonical will start making official jerseys. Yay!

Subject: [Ubuntu-cyclists] Ubuntu Jerseys Available

Hello all,

I'm riding in two charity cycling events this year and I wanted to lead
"Team Ubuntu". So I contacted Canonical and asked if I could use the
Ubuntu trademark. Canonical was cool about it and granted me
permission.

I've created a new jersey and I'm about to place the order. I figure
others that love Ubuntu and cycling would be interested, so I'm giving
everyone an opportunity to get a jersey if you want one. The company
states that it may take up to 8 weeks to make the jerseys, so I only
have about two weeks before I must place the order so that I get the
jerseys before the first ride in June.

We are still waiting for the final approval from Canonical, but here is
what the jersey will most likely look like:

The jersey will have matching shorts and arm warmers too if you would
like to get some. I could probably get the artist that helped with the
design to create other clothing articles if there is enough interest.

Here is the company I plan to purchase them from:
http://champ-sys.com

and the price list:
http://champ-sys.com/custom/cycling/price-list

Check out the summer short sleeve jersey, I need to confirm that it will
be $45. I believe the price depends on a minimum number of jerseys. I
believe the normal minimum is 10, so it shouldn't be a problem.

If you have experience with another company that has a better deal on
printing the jerseys please let me know. I haven't committed to this
company yet.

If you are interesting in purchasing a jersey please let me know. My
email address is below. One final note, I'm not trying to make a profit
with these jerseys. Each person will just have to pay the cost of the
jersey, plus shipping to your home. I'll have to mail out the jerseys,
so if you have several buddies that all want jerseys, it would be
helpful if you could group the requests to make it easier for me.

Thanks,
Trey
