[NCLUG] Pllaying Modern DVDs

Some debug output from a DVD playing program that is failing would be
useful. You can start the program from the command-line instead of clicking
the icon in the WM. That will often be enough to get useful information.

If you've never had success with this drive, one thing that comes to mind
immediately is the region setting on the drive versus the disk you are
trying to play. I don't know if Linux players honor this or not, but if
they do (I believe it's enforced internally to the drive) that would hinder
playback. I would expect though that the player would report a useful error
message.

lacking further detail though, it would seem likely that your internal
drive may be faulty.
