What happened to my machine?

Well, it only took an hour but I have Firefox without snap running as I
write this!
Microsoft Edge (Beta) is also running, it updated in the background while I
was chasing Firefox.
If only Edge had multiple profiles. Really, I need to wean myself off the
profiles as Firefox has
largely broken them when they added dbus support.

So here's the link that did the trick:
https://www.omgubuntu.co.uk/2022/04/how-to-install-firefox-deb-apt-ubuntu-22-04

Thanks for the support!
