Linux Installfest Dates and Venue

Hi,
I found that I could install Windows 11 on Virtualbox hosted on Ubuntu
22.04. See https://forums.virtualbox.org/viewtopic.php?t=111385
My Windows 11 install is not registered yet (no Microsoft license yet), but
it appears to run OK so far.
The base machine is a Supermicro 2U server running dual CPUs E52699v4s
circa about 2016. Apparently, Virtualbox provides TPM2 emulation so I it
appears I can basically run Win 11 on an "obsolete" machine without
hardware TPM2. I might just get a license for running my tax software.
Of course, I run Linux for my base machine for most tasks due to, in my
opinion, Linux' superior filesystem, ZFS, superior file handling speeds,
multiuser capabilities, and the list goes on....
But for those rare cases where you need software which runs only on
Windows, I suggest the above.
Bottom line:
I would very much like to help with the Linux installfest.
In addition to the above, I've collated techniques to backup and copy Linux
OSs to other machines, whereby I copy the OS files to the target OS drive
of the target machine and can make this drive bootable using UEFI or legacy
boot (slightly different procedures for either).
I strongly suggest that Linux users know how to backup their OS files and
be able to make up a bootable drive using those backups. This has saved me
a lot of work on occasions and I'd be glad to share those methods as well
as the above methods to boot Win 11 on obsolete machines.
Best,
Phil
