18:02 -- Welcome to NCLUG! Bob is in Canada for a BSD conference, so
I'm trying to do minutes this week. We will see how it goes. Going
around the room:

Brian - 3D printed project boxes, doorbell with ultrasonic distance
sensors, CPAP hoses to Dyson adapters, intercom project box, lots of
show and tell. Sharing of hard won wisdom about 3D printing projects.
There was software show and tell, too.

Aaron (me) - Yammered a bit about backup and recovery projects that
have been started at the home data center.

Trent - (re-)introduction. Has taught Linux in higher ed
environments. Is looking forward to reconnect with people at the
Linux Foundation event in Denver later this month.

Evan - Linux user since 2013. Particle physics. Currently doing more
mundane software development.

Dan - Software man. Framework laptop. Started using Linux 2006ish.
Chimera Linux contributor. Does not care for systemd too much. :)

Alex - Linux user since 2006ish. Hardware verification at Broadcom.
Looking into Python randomization libraries at work.

Alfredo - If you're reading this, you probably saw his email about
"End of 10" which is related to vendor end of support for a non-Linux
operating system we don't like naming. Gave a bit of background on
the End of 10 initiative that is being driven by the good folk at KDE.
Lots of interest in getting an October Linux install fest put
together.

James - sender of the meeting reminder emails. Does some Kubernetes
stuff in $DAYJOB. Burgeoning 3D printing interest. Showed us his
current project which is a sun shade for a meat smoker control panel.

Kyle - Linux user since 2018. Currently in school. And working. Too
busy. Currently running Gentoo. Gave a quick pitch for
https://taskwarrior.org/ a TODO list tool.

Sam - first time here. Occasional Linux user, mostly in school.
Doing a bit of Home Assistant, running a NAS with a bit video slurping
applications installed.

Morey - Long time Linux guy. AI enthusiast. Developing a nutrition
app at the moment. Really loves his AI stuff. Recommends people go
check out Hugging Face, github for AI things

Phil - Gave some info on hardware verification work he is involved
with.

Trey - Sysadmin, occasional Linux guy. Always wants to learn new
things. So hanging out at Linux nerd club tonight.

19:13 - retired to Slyce pizza.

Thanks for coming!

- Aaron
