Good afternoon everyone,
Hopefully we are all doing well! I just want to confirm that the recipients of this email are the people who want to get involved with the NCLUG/End of 10 Linux Installfest event. If you'd like to participate, please let me know very soon, because I'll start to make arrangements for how we'll communicate with each other. There is someone else that I know that would like to join NCLUG and participate, but he wants to help the day of the event (not with planning and that kind of thing), so once I get his email, I'll add him. I'll also do the same for anyone who would like to help participate in the event, but not plan it.
Once we have everyone who wants to participate in this event in touch with each other, we can explore the options for venues, do some of the busy work, and set a "soft roadmap" for the event, so we have an idea of what we will be doing. I unfortunately will not be able to go to the informal NCLUG meetings at Dutch Bros to discuss this idea due to scheduling conflicts with my swim team, so I think the best idea for us to keep in touch would be using an online platform, so we don't have to bother with meeting up in person (I think that's in our best interest, because I also don't know how busy everyone is).
Link to the ODT with the event ideas: https://drive.proton.me/urls/FY8V9BE92W#wI6gXzc9uuQW(I put everything in a Proton Drive doc, so it's easier for people to look at. Please keep in mind that this is a public view link, so please don't share it to random people, especially people who are not involved with planning the event. I'd be willing to add editor access to anyone who is involved with the event).
Best,
Alfredo Cisneros Romero.

This is Alfredo's email (the young student from NCLUG), and I'm writing to the group because I want to see if we could discuss the Linux installfest idea through email. Also, I want to email Mory about this as well (since I know he said that he would be interested), but I don't know his email, so I'm just CCing the entire thing to the general NCLUG mailing list. First and foremost, I'd like to thank everyone who participated in the meeting yesterday, since that is when we discussed many of the logistics of how the event will run. Long story short: I made a big planning document that I attached to this email for the NCLUG End of 10 Linux Installfest, and we could maybe work on the document on a Cryptpad so everyone can look at it. I think it is pretty comprehensive, and there isn't anything else I can think of adding at the moment. If everyone agrees with the things that I put on there, I think we can start working on the installfest and getting things done (if anyone wants a TLDR of what I believe should be done after everyone agrees, it is at the bottom of the document)! If anyone has questions, please let me know. Thank you!

Please let me know if there is anything that I need to catch up on ever since I emailed this mailing list; I did not realize that a confirmation email from NCLUG was sent to my spam, so I was not able to read any messages that were mailed to me. Also, please let me know how I can set up IRC.
