Hello,
Anyone had luck in having dual CDROM's on
different
channels on linux box (mandrake 8.1).
HDA 20gb hard
drive (works fine)
HDB cdrom read only (can't mount, read or
find)
HDC now a SCD0 r/w cdrom (works fine)
HDD Zip drive. (works
fine)

Problem is Fstab and Mtab when booting up recognizes scd0
CDROM R/W but not HDB cdrom.

There is no /dev/hdb in the /dev
directory.
If I put a boot disk in HDB it will boot....but
linux
doesn't see it after the install only sees the scd0 cdrw.
Maybe a new process needs to be added for an irq?

Mandrake 8.1
seems to self configure depending if
it finds a disk in the
drive...ie zip drives will
load automatically. But doesn't see
the hdb when a disk
is in it.

But without /dev/hdb how can I link
or make the device
and tie it to fstab or mtab...?

Ken
