Job Description

Jabber software engineers are responsible for the analysis, design, and
development of robust, scalable, and high-quality software products.
They work according to agreed upon internal product development
processes. They work cooperatively and effectively with members of other
departments including product management, professional services and QA
to deliver products according to specification and schedule.

Experience and skills required:

8+ years professional experience in server design and development

Strong knowledge of and significant professional experience developing
OO software using C++. Java experience also desirable.

Strong working knowledge of XML, threads, and debugging practices.

Experience delivering to multiple computing platforms, including UNIX,
Linux, and Windows Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related
discipline. Master's degree preferred.

Must be technology "agnostic", i.e. not biased to particular platforms
and technologies.

Experience developing high availability, scalable server technology
Working knowledge of UML and Agile

Desired Skills

Knowledge of

XMPP

Presence

Technical leadership experience

Education:

Typically requires MSEE/CS combined with 5-7 years of related
experience, or BSEE/CS combined with 10+ years related experience.
