more than anything. Have you noticed that pc133 memory is cheaper than
pc100? You can put pc133 memory into a pc100 machine...
Certainly PC133 memory into a well designed mobo will generally work.
The faster edge rates of the higher frequency memory may however ring
poorly layed out or terminated memory data busses, or create additional
power and ground rail noise if the decoupling didn't take the faster edge
rates into account. Failures will frequently be data & rate sensitive,
and hard to debug.
