Must it?  I guess I'll need some more convincing.

Anyway, perhaps customers who wish to be reconnected sooner could pay
a fee for expediting things.  I wouldn't have a problem with that.
But your assertion that business customers should, ipso facto, be
reconnected before I am disturbs me.
