That's our goal, but it's up to the Coloradoan. If we happen to bomb
Iraq that day, I wouldn't count on them saving room for our piece.

Someone already contributed some contacts at the Coloradoan, the
Rocky, and the DP. If any of you reading this have other contacts
at other media, let me know and I'll be happy to get them a copy too.

I've sent materials to Matt ClauSON for him to post on the NCLUG web
site. Give him awhile to get that set up and then check it out.

This is a grass roots initiative, dude. If you showed up at the
meetings, we'd grab you and slap you in front of some hapless
Windows user to clobber their system and replace it with a Linux
box running Star Office and the Gimp.

But don't let that stop you. :-)

Seriously, we haven't done much logistically to prepare for a huge
response from when the Coloradoan breaks it and CNN picks it up off
the wire. Who wants to help out? How would we go about it? Should
we have a demo day type of thing, or should it be piecemeal? Can
anyone coordinate this (besides me, I mean)? Would it make sense
to set up an email list for people to respond to? (We can ask
tummy.com to do that; they would just add it to the community box
they're already donating to serve this mailing list, the NCLUG web
site, and who knows what else.)

If you're competent to install Linux and Star Office on an arbitrary
machine and have some spare cycles to devote to World Domination,
please announce yourself to the list, so, if the above questions
ever get resolved, you can get your moment in the sun. Does anyone
(Evelyn?) still have a copy of the "release and waiver of
responsibility" we used at the last install fest?
