[NCLUG] using kgcc w/RH7

The tulip driver for my network card needs to be built from
a source RPM. Installation notes tell me that I need to use
"kgcc" instead of "gcc" due to problems we won't rehash here.
So I'm ready to do this, but I'm srpm clue-impaired. All I
know how to do is rpm -i and then rpm -bb. Can someone with
a srpm clue recommend how to do a build using kgcc instead
of the plain old evil gcc?
