That's a good option if you are doing lots of registrations.  It may
be $10 per year, but the minimum amount you can pay them is $250.
You also have to go through some pretty serious testing up-front --
you have to do something like 40 registers and updates.

We have been doing registrations through OpenSRS for $15 per domain
year for community members who don't need to do 25 per year.  :-)
