You'll probably also find out that it doesn't help...  "ls" doesn't use
"sort" it sorts the entries itself...  The problem is the locale has
changed from "C" to "US" or something...  The bigger problem is that
"[a-z]" matches "aBb...Z", with the leading 'A' lopped off.

Annoying, but it was probably done at user request...  It hasn't annoyed me
enough to find time to track it down yet though.  Hopefully that gives you
some hints though.
