Yeah, but I find it very important to note that the best support I got for
my problem was *not* from them (and Lord knows I tried... and I have the 7k
handwritten emails to prove it), but from NCLUG members.
If it happens much more, I'll try Michael's advice of leaving the modem
speaker on all the time and see what I can see (or hear, rather).
I also pushed the baud rate down to 33.6 Kbps instead of the deafult 115
kbps and my cvs commits, while taking an enternity, actually went through
without much incident (pings kept going too).
