[NCLUG] mailman archives

hey folks,

 i'm having trouble getting the archives to work in a mailman install. i've
noticed that only

 $prefix/archives/private/listname.mbox

is getting created, and not

 $prefix/archives/private/listname

so, i get an "Archive File Not Found" error when i try to load the archive
webpage. can't seem to figure out why.

don't think it's the symlink problem in the INSTALL and FAQ. i have

 Options FollowSymLinks

for the $prefix/archives/public directory in httpd.conf and the problem
occurs for both public and private archives.

any ideas?
