Thanks everyone for your responses. As I was going through the first
digest which included responses I was thinking that maybe I should start a
hobby project to create an email app like netscape's, but as a standalone
MUA without HTML support, and probably starting with mosaic code that I
have (though I think there was some thing about Netscape releasing its
source, which would be more recent). But then I hit the msg about
sylpheed. Looks sharp. I'll probably give it a try unless I find something
more in my reading that I find disagreeable.
