I do use Linux, but not at home very often, for the reasons stated.
I'm a Mac user as a rule and use Windows ONLY when I have to. I like
Linux as a development platform for lots of stuff, and like I said, its
perfect for the casual user doing personal productivity stuff and basic
on-line work. I geek in corner case stuff, most of the companies
however don't support Linux (or Mac) hence, I only use Windows when I
have to. Sorry if I've offended you, I'm OS agnostic mostly since I use
a variety of OS's on a daily basis.
Heck, I just used Knoppix to recover my wife's Windoze PC last week.
My house file server is a Red Hat variant and I work with Linux for
embedded stuff at my day job. I'm hardly a Windoze only type. I'm just
not a Linux evangelist however.
