Just a point of trivia: Are you aware that, in some jurisdictions (France
comes to mind), there is no legal concept of relinquishment to the public
domain? To achieve public-domain-like relinquishment of proprietary
interest in such jurisdictions, one must either die and wait for
copyright to expire, or explicitly distribute the material under the
terms of a copyfree license.
