[NCLUG] Looking for a better, but simple IDE (or just editor)

I also like Geany. It's not perfect, but I keep going back to it. I've
played with Atom, but it's not really my style, and when I load large files
into it it gets really slow. Years ago I used bluefish quite a lot, I had
forgotten about it until recently, and it looks like the project has not
only stayed alive but they've made a lot of improvements. I intend to take
it for a spin again shortly. It was originally designed to be an editor for
web-stuff, so I imagine it supports PHP very well.
