Support the Systems product management leadership team in solving complex business problems and defining executable business plans.

The individual will be working on small teams, conducting analysis and primary research to support the Systems product management leadership team decision-making. 

		
Key Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include: 

.    Supporting BU growth strategies incl. new business opportunity assessment, business case development, build-buy-partner approaches, end-to-end business plan, and incubation

.    Conducting deep assessment of strategic competitors and industry trends and translating insights into robust competitive strategies, initiatives, and action plans

.    Supporting  implementation of competitive strategies and initiatives across the Storage business

.    Providing  insights to drive BU's Intellectual Property strategy and portfolio management in alignment with overall business goals

.    Leading key exec-level strategy initiatives from strategy creation to implementation

.    Acting as a strategic resource around the Storage Group business planning reviews and solving tough business problems as required by formulating hypothesis, designing and conducting analysis (drawing on research and analytic skills including spreadsheet-modeling, customer/analysts interviewing, etc.). Assimilate findings and compose cogent, compelling presentations

		
HYPERLINK \l "EDUCATION"Education & Experience

.    3-5 years of experience working in a client-facing role (i.e. consulting, investment banking, internal business strategy, project management, product management)

.    MBA degree required. Alternatively, work experience at top consulting firm

HYPERLINK \l "SKILL"Skills & Competencies

Strong candidates will have rigorous analytical and quantitative skills, exceptional leadership & strategic thinking ability, an aptitude for creatively solving highly unstructured business problems, and a demonstrated capacity to drive results across functional groups through high-levels of change. Successful candidates will be fast learners with high energy levels who can roll up their sleeves and feel comfortable in fast-paced start-up-like environments as well as large complex organizational settings. Solid relationship and communication skills in working with senior executives, external constituents, and other Sun groups including Engineering, Finance, and Corporate Marketing will be key. In addition:

.    Strong problem solving and analytical skills

.    Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written

.    Ability to manage multiple projects and engagements simultaneously

.    Ability to lead, influence others, and deliver within a matrix environment

.    Previous experience in technology companies preferred

.    "Bi-lingual" in marketing and finance
