Qwest doesn't give you an IP address and a gateway they only give you a physical connection. I'm not exactly sure on the history of why it is like this but more or less you can choose from a variety of ISP's who then give you an IP address, any of which you will pay an extra fee for. Probably the easiest is to go with the Qwest.net broadband basic, it is only $8 a month. Qwest.net is essentially the ISP department of Qwest so it is essentially like choosing Qwest as the ISP.
