[NCLUG] DSL modem + Wireless Router setup

I would just go into the Linksys admin interface, configure it's LAN IP for
192.168.2.254/255.255.255.0 or whatever, and then change the DHCP to give
out 192.168.2.1-100 or whatever range you want, and call it done.  Unless
you want to access other devices on the network the DSL modem is on, this
may save you some pain, especially if the DSL modem isn't well documented.
This way you just deal with the Linksys, and the Linksys just uses one
address from the DSL modem.
