Build and install openzfs from source?

Why not just run do-release-upgrade and let it do its thing? There's no
need to mess around with manually upgrading specific packages like the
kernel. Kernels packages designed for 24.04 probably won't integrate
well with 22.04, which I guess is what you're seeing, so you're fighting
a hard path trying to manually mix/match things.
You can patch up any network issue after the upgrade has happened,
likely before rebooting. IIRC last time this happened, I just manually
created a netplan file to match my previous content from
/etc/network/interfaces or something like that.
